It all began with a wild mother hen called Hermine.
Hermine WECH, to be exact. Her name stands for quality and tradition.
She started the company in Carinthia with 9 laying hens and a rooster back in 1958. WECH is now a traditional Austrian company focusing on the rearing, slaughter and sale of premium local poultry and has demonstrated over time that exceptional quality will always win out against much cheaper providers, both at home and from abroad.
When it comes to quality, we leave nothing to chance. Same applies to taste.
WECH is one of the most modern companies featuring state-of-the-art quality standards in terms of quality and hygiene. At the same time we also strive for partnerships with over 200 Austrian poultry farmers, their staff, the retail trade and indeed the animals themselves which are built on respect and fairness. Tradition is brought to life this way and it results in exceptional quality you can taste.

Chicken products
Our wide range of chicken products is a feather in the cap for any barbecue. These cover whole chickens or parts, either cut up or seasoned, exactly how you like it. Our range also has various special cuts as well as weight categories. Both fresh and deep-frozen products are available.
